Casting News - Peter Weller to Recur on 'The Last Ship'; Ebon Moss-Bachrach Joins 'The Punisher'; Plus 5 More Updates!

CBS' The Odd Couple & Scorpion; Freeform's The Fosters; IFC's Portlandia; Netflix's Flaked & The Punisher; and TNT's The Last Ship.





TNT's THE LAST SHIP
  • Peter Weller (RoboCop, 24) - who has previously directed two episodes - will appear in a recurring role on the drama's upcoming fourth season. He will play Dr. Paul Vellek, a world-renowned authority in genetic modification and plant biotechnology. His expertise will play a critical role in the latest mission for the Nathan James.
NETFLIX's THE PUNISHER
  • Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Girls) and Amber Rose Revah (Indian Summers) have joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Jon Bernthal. Moss-Bachrach will play Micro, a former NSA analyst whose secrets may be of great value to Frank Castle (Bernthal) and everyone around them. Revah will play Dinah Madani, a highly-trained, sophisticated Homeland Security agent who is vexed by the Punisher. Netflix has also confirmed today that the previously cast Ben Barnes will be playing Billy Russo, Frank's best friend from his days in the Special Forces. He runs a successful private military corporation called Anvil.
IFC's PORTLANDIA
  • The sketch comedy series starring Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein will return for its 10-episode seventh season on Thursday, January 5 at 10/9c.
CBS' THE ODD COUPLE
  • Busy Philipps (Cougar Town, Vice Principals) will appear in an upcoming episode of the comedy's third season. She will play Natasha, a woman Felix (Thomas Lennon) meets at a bar and takes home for what is meant to be his first one-night stand. However, it becomes a standoff when she decides she likes Felix and his amazing apartment so much that she never wants to leave.
CBS' SCORPION
  • Reiko Aylesworth (24) and Lea Thompson (Switched at Birth) have booked recurring roles on the drama's third season. Aylesworth will play Allie Jones, a new love interest for Cabe (Robert Patrick) but also the campaign manager for Sylvester's (Ari Stidham) upcoming political rival. Thompson will play Veronica Dineen, Paige's (Katharine McPhee) mother, an accomplished con artist who comes back into her daughter's life after years behind bars.
NETFLIX's FLAKED
  • Elisabeth Rohm (The Last Ship) has landed a recurring role on the comedy's upcoming second season. She will play Alex, a smart, divorced, working single mother who Chip (Will Arnett) meets at an AA meeting in Santa Monica.
FREEFORM's THE FOSTERS
  • John Marshall Jones (Hart of Dixie, The Troop) is set for a recurring role on the drama's fourth season. He will play Bruckner, a wary and diligent detective.
