NBC Renews 'The Good Place' for Season 2

Less than two weeks after airing its season finale, NBC has renewed its original comedy series The Good Place for a second season, it was announced today. The order is for another 13-episode season.






"Mike Schur has always had one of the most fertile and imaginative minds in comedy, but what he brought us with the first season of The Good Place was just extraordinary," said Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment. "We absolutely can't wait to see where these characters go, literally, in season two. A big thank you to Mike, the writers and cast for delivering a series in which we all take such enormous pride."

The comedy stars Kristen Bell, William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil, D'Arcy Carden, Manny Jacinto and Ted Danson.

Mike Schur created the comedy. He serves as executive producer with David Miner, Morgan Sackett and Drew Goddard. Universal Television, 3 Arts Entertainment and Fremulon produce.

In its 13-episode first season, The Good Place averaged a 1.9 rating in the Adults 18-49 demographic according to Live+7 numbers.
