Amazon has today given a straight-to-series order to its first adult-focused animated comedy series Undone. The series will premiere in 2019.
Undone explores the nature of reality through its central character, Alma (voiced by Rosa Salazar, the Maze Runner franchise). After getting into a near-fatal car crash, Alma discovers she has a new relationship with time and uses the ability to find out the truth about her father's death.
Angelique Cabral (Life in Pieces) will voice Alma's younger sister.
Raphael Bob-Waksberg and Kate Purdy (BoJack Horseman) created the series. They will executive produce with Michael Eisner, Noel Bright, Steven A. Cohen and Tommy Pallotta. Tornante Company will produce. Dutch artist Hisko Hulsing will oversee the production design and direct a team of animators in the Netherlands.
