CBS ALL ACCESS' STAR TREK: DISCOVERY
- Anson Mount has joined the cast of the drama's upcoming second season. He starred for five seasons in AMC's Hell on Wheels and one season in ABC's Inhumans. The Marvel drama on ABC is unlikely to return for a second season following low ratings and being critically panned.
- Mount will play Captain Christopher Pike, the current captain of the USS Enterprise. In the final minutes of the first season finale, the Discovery intercepted a distress signal from the Enterprise while traveling to Vulcan to pick up their new captain.
THE CW's ARROW
- Colton Haynes is returning to the drama as a series regular for its upcoming seventh season. He joined the cast as Roy Harper in a recurring role in the first season before being promoted to series regular for the second season. He exited the series at the end of the third season, and has appeared as a guest star in Seasons 4 and 6.
- "We're very fortunate and excited to welcome back Colton to Arrow. While we've always enjoyed Colton's returns to the show, we couldn't be more thrilled to have him return as a proper series regular and we're very excited about all the creative opportunities Roy Harper's return affords us," said the executive producers of Arrow in a joint statement.
