FOX Renews 'Star'; Cancels 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine,' 'The Last Man on Earth' and 'The Mick'

FOX has today renewed its original drama series Star for a third season. However, the broadcast network has also opted to cancel three of its comedy series - Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Last Man on Earth and The Mick.






In its second season, Star stars Queen Latifah, Jude Demorest, Brittany O'Grady, Ryan Destiny, Amiyah Scott, Quincy Brown, Benjamin Bratt, Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Michael Michele and Stephen Dorff.

Lee Daniels and Tom Donaghy created the drama. They executive produce with Effie Brown, Pamela Oas Williams, Karin Gist and Jason Richman. 20th Century Fox Television and Lee Daniels Entertainment produce.

The renewal also comes with the news that Lee Daniels has signed a new overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television. He will remain with the production company for the foreseeable future.


Brooklyn Nine-Nine starred Andy Samberg, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Chelsea Peretti, Dirk Blocker, Joel McKinnon Miller and Andre Braugher.

Dan Goor and Michael Schur created the comedy. They executive produced with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, David Miner and Luke Del Tredici. Universal Television, 3 Arts Entertainment, Dr. Good Productions and Fremulon produced.

The Last Man on Earth starred Will Forte, Kristen Schaal, January Jones, Mel Rodriguez, Cleopatra Coleman and Mary Steenburgen.

Forte created the comedy. He executive produced with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Seth Cohen and Dan Sterling. 20th Century Fox Television, Lord Miller Productions and The Si Fi Company produced.

The Mick starred Kaitlin Olson, Sofia Black-D'Elia, Thomas Barbusca, Jack Stanton, Carla Jimenez and Scott MacArthur.

Dave and John Chernin created the comedy. They executive produced with Olson, Nicholas Frenkel, Oly Obst and Randall Einhorn. 20th Century Fox Television, 3 Arts Entertainment and BingBangBoom Productions produced.
