NBC Orders Dramas 'The InBetween' and 'Manifest' to Series

NBC has today given its latest series orders to the original dramas The InBetween and Manifest. They join a new roster for the 2018-19 schedule that includes Abby's, The Enemy Within, The Gilded Age, I Feel Bad, New Amsterdam and The Village.

The InBetween - Cassie Bishop was born with a gift, though she may call it a curse. She can see and communicate with the dead, helping them with their unresolved problems - whether she likes it or not. When her longtime friend Detective Tom Hackett and his new partner, former FBI Agent Damien Asante, need help solving a darkly puzzling murder, Cassie agrees to use her abilities. Despite her reluctance, she may have found a way to keep her demons at bay, all while solving some of the city's most challenging cases.

The drama stars Harriet Dyer, Paul Blackthorne, Cindy Luna, Anne-Marie Johnson and Chad James Buchanan.

Yusuf Gatewood co-starred in the pilot as one of the male leads. However, the character is being re-conceived and recast for the series.

Moira Kirland wrote the pilot, which was directed by Charlotte Sieling. They executive produce with David Heyman and Nancy Cotton. Universal Television, Heyday Television and NBC International produce.

Manifest - When Montego Air Flight 828 landed safely after a turbulent but routine flight, the crew and passengers were relieved. Yet in the span of those few hours, the world had aged five years and their friends, families and colleagues, after mourning their loss, had given up hope and moved on. Now, faced with the impossible, they're all given a second chance. But as their new realities become clear, a deeper mystery unfolds and some of the returned passengers soon realize they may be meant for something greater than they ever thought possible.

The drama stars Josh Dallas, Melissa Roxburgh, J.R. Ramirez, Athena Karkanis, Parveen Kaur, Luna Blaise and Jack Messina.

Jeff Rake wrote the pilot, which was directed by David Frankel. They executive produce with Robert Zemeckis and Jack Rapke. Jackie Levine is a co-executive producer. Warner Bros. Television and Compari Entertainment produce.
