Amazon Reveals Premiere Date for Season 2 of 'Goliath'

Over a year since the debut of the first season, Amazon has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of its original drama series Goliath.

The 8-episode second season will debut in its entirety on the streaming service on Friday, June 15.

After winning a huge verdict in the Borns Tech case, Billy McBride is reluctantly pulled back into the law when his friend's 16-year-old son is arrested for a double homicide. As Billy and the team start to investigate what appears to be an open and shut murder case, they begin to untangle a deadly conspiracy in the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles, where drugs, real estate and politics intermingle. Once again, Billy finds himself facing a new Goliath, one that is as formidable as the city's mayoral race and as tall as the skyline itself.

Billy Bob Thornton, Nina Arianda, Tania Raymonde and Diana Hopper reprise their roles from the first season. New cast additions for the second season include Mark Duplass, Morris Chestnut and Ana De La Reguera.

David E. Kelley and Jonathan Shapiro created the drama. Lawrence Trilling serves as showrunner for the second season and executive produces with Geyer Kosinski.

"We're excited to bring back a new season of Goliath starring Golden Globe Winner Billy Bob Thornton," said Jennifer Salke, Head of Amazon Studios. "This chapter tells a powerfully suspenseful, multilayered story that explores the gritty side of a broken political and legal system."
