- Utkarsh Ambudkar will play the male lead opposite Rose McIver in the comedy pilot (which is looking to film later this year). He previously starred in Showtime's one-season comedy White Famous. He has also recurred on FOX/Hulu's The Mindy Project and IFC's Brockmire.
- He will play Ryan, Samantha's (McIver) husband, a thoroughly modern dude with a love of nerdom and a talented chef.
