HBO Max has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming original comedy series Hacks starring Emmy winner Jean Smart (Fargo, Watchmen).
The 10-episode first season will launch on Thursday, May 13.
The comedy explores a dark mentorship that forms between Deborah Vance (Smart), a legendary Las Vegas comedian, and an entitled, outcast 25-year-old.
The comedy also stars Hannah Einbinder and Carl Clemons-Hopkins.
Guest stars include Kaitlin Olson, Christopher McDonald, Paul W. Downs, Mark Indelicato, Poppy Liu, Johnny Sibilly, Meg Stalter and Rose Abdoo.
Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello and Jen Statsky created the comedy. They executive produce with Michael Schur, David Miner and Morgan Sackett. Universal Television, Paulilu Productions, First Thought Productions, Fremulon and 3 Arts Entertainment produce.
