Netflix Renews 'Monster' and 'The Watcher'

After setting streaming records this fall, Netflix has today renewed its original anthology series Monster and original drama series The Watcher for additional seasons.






The streaming service has ordered two additional installments of Monster. The future installments will tell the stories of other monstrous figures who have impacted society.

The first installment starred Evan Peters, Niecy Nash, Richard Jenkins, Molly Ringwald and Michael Learned. 

Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan created the series. They executive produce with Peters, Janet Mock, Carl Franklin, Alexis Martin Woodall and Eric Kovfun. Ryan Murphy Productions and Prospect Films produce in association with Netflix.


The Watcher - also created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan - has been picked up for a second season.

The drama stars Naomi Watts, Bobby Cannavale, Isabel Gravitt, Luke David Blumm, Jennifer Coolidge, Margo Martindale, Richard Kind, Mia Farrow, Terry Kinney, Christopher McDonald, Noma Dumezweni, Joe Mantello and Henry Hunter Hall.

Murphy and Brennan executive produce with Watts, Eric Newman, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Bryan Unkeless, Paris Barclay, Ariel Schulman, Henry Joost and Scoop Wasserstein. Ryan Murphy Productions produces in association with Netflix.
