BET Scraps Plans for Season 2 of 'The Breaks'

BET has announced today that it will not be moving forward with production of a second season of the original drama series The Breaks. The drama originally aired on VH1 earlier this year and has now essentially been cancelled.

BET Adds 'The Breaks' and 'Hit the Floor' from VH1; Renews 'The Quad'; and Orders 'The Bobby Brown Story'

During its upfront presentation today, BET made a number of big programming announcements - including a renewal for The Quad, a series order for scripted miniseries The Bobby Brown Story and half-hour dramedy Divorce Saved My Marriage, and the additions of dramas The Breaks and Hit the Floor (both from VH1).

VH1 Announces Premiere Date for Drama 'The Breaks'

VH1 has announced a February premiere date for its upcoming original drama series The Breaks. The series is a continuation of the two-hour film that aired on the network last year and was seen by 2.6 million viewers.
