Season 3 of 'Scream' Gets Premiere Date on VH1

The long-gestating third season of the original drama series Scream finally has a premiere date. However, the show will be moving networks. In addition to a new cast and story, the third season will air on VH1 instead of original home MTV.

'The Shannara Chronicles' Moves from MTV to Spike

The reshuffling of shows at the Viacom networks continues today with the announcement that the 10-episode second season will air this fall on Spike instead of MTV. It will air before Spike makes the transition to the Paramount Network.

MTV Cancels 'Sweet/Vicious' After One Season

This afternoon Jennifer Robinson, the series creator of MTV's original drama series Sweet/Vicious, took to Twitter to reveal that the network had cancelled the series. MTV later confirmed the cancellation after one season.

MTV Cancels 'Mary + Jane' and 'Loosely Exactly Nicole'

MTV has opted to cancel its original comedy series Mary + Jane and Loosely Exactly Nicole after one season each. It's currently unclear if the producers have any plans to shop the comedies to other outlets.

MTV Renews 'Scream' for Season 3

A few days before its Halloween special debuts, MTV has renewed its original drama series Scream for a third season. However, Season 3 will only include six episodes - down from 10 and 13 episodes for the first and second seasons, respectively.
